At the University of Amsterdam, I, Jasha van der Wel, graduated as a Developmental Psychologist. I specialized in the influence of humor on the immune system but my passion has always been transformative events and personal development, enhancing experiences.

During university, I worked at Supperclub Amsterdam and already organized several original events and festivals under the name “Lust het Leven” (Lust for Life) and All is One. Both concepts were nominated for the Golden Gnome Award (“Best Festival of the Year” and “Best Innovative New Concept in Amsterdam”).

After living in India for nearly two years, I worked at ID&T for over five years in the Creative- and Sustainability Department.

I have been involved in the development of many kinds of different events, among which: Awake Amsterdam with Lama Sogyal Rinpoche, Healing Garden Festival, Beyond Festival, Indian Summer Festival, Welcome to the Future Festival, the Dream Festival, Dream-to-go Parade and Blijburg aan Zee and the Mandali retreat center staff retreats in Italy.

I founded The Experience Enhancers, a platform where creatives and business meet and was involved in the organization of TEDxAmsterdam for five years while designing the experience.

I have worked as a guest lecturer for The Hague University teaching “Sustainability on Events“. I have worked (amongst others) for the Boom Festival in Portugal, for Envision Festival in Costa Rica, for Mysteryland NL, USA, and Chile and I worked on projects like the Women of West Amsterdam Festival, Wildeburg’s Brandpunt and the Social Design Summit (which won the Legacy Tree in 2019). I love participating in projects focussing on social impact.

During covid I made a switch from the more fleeting one-off experiences for the lucky few to cultural heritage with a lasting character for our posterity. I work 3 days a week as a Public Relations manager at the Embassy of the Free Mind museum on Keizersgracht 123. The collection we manage there is the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica, a rare book collection consisting of over 28.000 books on topics of hermetic philosophy questioning the relationship between humans, nature and the cosmos…let me know if you want me to tell you more/show you around jvanderwel@efm.amsterdam www.embassyofthefreemind.com
